Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain by Zaretta Hammond (2016) talks about culturally responsive teaching as “going beyond getting along with students to using your connections to stretch and empower them as learners.” In this session, we will focus on supporting students in developing self-efficacy, a positive academic mindset, and evidence-based learning strategies that support student learning and increase academic success.
