WORK IN MOVEMENT: GAMES, FRIEND OR FOE?
July 24, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Let’s get our students out of their seats by providing activities for physical movement and interactive activities that can assess them differently. There are many simple games that can support classroom instruction while getting students excited and invested in the content. Games that secretly assess students in a fun way! Let’s talk about ways that games can be a TL supporter and not just another senseless activity.
- Content Review: Incorporating activities for students to collaborate in reviewing, rewriting, illustrating in the TL through collaborative and competitive movement.
- Interactive Games: Quick on your feet, focused and ready to engage in hands-on content focused games.
- Varied Conversations: Using prompts, sentence starters or template of topics in the TL in different scenarios.
- Showing Understanding; Review Reflect and Share (RRS)
- The Goal is Movement through Grammar: LET’S GET UP AND MOVE!
