Self-Care Is All About the W.A.T.E.R.

Are you thirsty for a new self-care habit? In this Social Emotional Learning, SEL workshop you will leave with a practical self-care practice that you can make a part of your daily routine. The W.A.T.E.R. acronym reminds you to put on your own oxygen mask first. It is a doable coping skills technique that you can easily apply to your everyday life and even implement in your classroom or school-wide curriculum. Come join us as we discuss self-care and make a plan to prioritize it!
Educators will:
Be equipped to define self-care;
Use self-awareness to select personal triggers and coping mechanisms, which they currently utilize; Discuss the elements of the W.A.T.E.R. acronym in order to improve current behaviors and test a new self-care strategy; Create a self-care plan of action using the W.A.T.E.R. strategy to minimize daily stress and anxiety.
