Lesson Planning for Student Wellbeing

Self Management, Self Awareness, and Social Awareness are as important as reading skills and math skills. Covid-19 has significantly impacted access to academic learning for many students. It has also impacted their opportunities to learn how to learn, engage with peers, and practice self-awareness. This series of four sessions (January 19, 26, Feb 2, and 9th) will provide an overview of Social and Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices so that educators can make a case for including these skills in their lesson plans and share strategies, practices, and tools for incorporating these skills into daily lessons, beyond the morning meeting. These sessions will require engagement and group sharing.
